Medosweet Farms named Washington “Family Business of the Year” - 11/18/08

Medosweet Farms, a Kent Washington wholesale dairy distribution company was named “Washington Family Business of the Year” in an award ceremony sponsored by the Family Enterprise Institute November 14, 2008 at the Seattle Waterfront Marriott. Medosweet Farms, founded in 1975 by Cliff and Carolyn Flintoff was named Washington Family Business of the Year award winner for 2008 in the Medium Business category (50 – 250 employees). Medosweet was recognized for the companies’ innovative business strategies, business performance, contributions to community and for the companies’ multi-generational involvement and business longevity. Pacific Lutheran University is the founding sponsor of the Family Enterprise Institute which is now in its 15th year of recognizing the states top family owned and operated businesses. A team of academic experts from PLU’s Family Enterprise Institute reviewed over 250 nominations and selected Medosweet Farms as a finalist and winner of this year’s award.
